Posted December 31, 2011 (edited) IMHO. The compression rise isn't worth the trouble and cost of changing heads. With smaller valves it's a step backwards. I would do cam and exhaust work with your exsisting heads. Plus the usual tuning of injectors,computer etc.. My V-Max 6.0 pings on less than 92 octane.

You can swap them without a difference. The only difference is the 821's can be a LS3 head and have the lighter intake valves and yellow valve springs but still them same head and flow. The only time you are going to see a performance difference is when there is a casting shift that affects the head flow.
